I like this book because of the motivational emphasis on how to be the best in service to others. (Lead With Your Heart) These tools in turn serve to construct you as a great leader and successful business person. The BUILD Framework is easy to follow, and makes common sense!! Haha! Why not gain a better understanding of your relational operations?!? The book places a very good frame for how to open yourself to learning and expanding! It's practical and curious!Now...take those steps....commit to a greater potential...and enjoy your freedom to BUILD, you all!!!

Wow! John Peitzman (JP as he refers to himself) shares the BUILD Framework, a method for delivering excellence in all areas of life. The BUILD Framework approach takes on a holistic approach to excellence that is built on treating people well and striving to do the right thing. The advice is down to earth and delivered with an easy to understand casualness. Each chapter illustrates one aspect of the BUILD Framework and is organized in an easy to follow path. To illustrate each point, little anecdotes from JP’s life are sprinkled in to show the effectiveness of each aspect of the framework and how it works. At the end of each chapter, there are challenges for the reader to undertake to better carry out each aspect of the framework. Overall, it is a quick read and worth going back over to reread. JP’s main point is that by making meaningful connections, learning from these connections, making decisions, and then living out those decisions can make a calm sea out of a rough life. Though JP uses examples mostly from a corporate perspective, the points are equally applicable to personal growth. Regardless of your position in a workforce, there is an important takeaway from the BUILD Framework for anyone.Overall, I found the BUILD Framework to be very helpful and I reference it as I try to work on improving excellence in my own life.

I have been dabbling in the personal and professional development literature space for quite some time now so this book was right down my alley when I saw it come across my suggestions list.Some negatives:This book is rich on concepts and how you may be able to apply them for greater success, but it doesn’t go in to deep specifics. If you’re looking to be spoon fed a checklist, you’re not going to find it here.The “BUILD” in BUILD Framework is an acronym a la those motivational posters in elementary school. It seems a bit kitschy at first glance but the content as a whole is worth “shooting for the moon because even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”This book isn’t for those unapologetic, take-the-money-and-run type wanting to be a wolf on Wall Street or a champion poker player. Maybe the subtitle “A Heart-Based System for Personal and Professional Growth” is a dead giveaway, but this book is more about growth in building relationships and maintaining them through compassionate leadership rather than climbing the corporate ladder, leaving destruction in your wake.My Positives:It’s only 114 pages! Even though the author uses his fair share of examples to add context to the information being given, it doesn’t feel like the book length is overly inflated with copious stories and anecdotes.He includes “Action Benefit Challenges” that help to illustrate the point being made but also to give inspiration on things to do by yourself to enact the concepts.Each part of the BUILD Framework comes with 2 “success attributes” to embody that foster a better likelihood of implementation success, and 2 “emotional contractions” that are, or may, impede your success with the BUILD concepts.Most of all, I enjoyed that this book stressed the importance of authenticity and honor. I’ve read a lot of personal development books that seem to focus on the self and personal success but this book does a good job at melding success with compassion. It illustrates one of my favorite quotes: “a rising tide lifts all boats.”

Starting from the introduction on the lack of clarity in our lives that leads to dysfunction to the final pages of advice of how to actually BUILD a houseboat, I thought this book was incredibly driven, functional and helpful for the most part. However, personally, I felt like it was written for a certain type of person despite the clearly applicable aspects that addressed things I would implement in my own life but besides that, I felt like I was reading about ways to help other people (which is also not a bad thing). Overall, I give it three stars, because it was pretty good, just less personally my speed.

I suppose we all get to a point in time in our lives where we become complacent and stop striving for improvement. I know I have so I purchased this book in hopes of reigniting the drive I once had to better myself. This book absolutely delivers that! The author is very passionate about his content; thus making the reading inspirational. It was very easy to follow, well written, everyone and anyone can apply these simple principles to their lives. It is quick and stimulating reading, and I was completely amazed when the author encouraged the readers to keep in touch and provided his website in the event a reader needed guidance or had any questions!! You don’t see that everyday!! I will continue to read this book again and again I’m sure. Well worth the investment!

“The BUILD Framework” by John Peitzman is comprehensive guide to streamlining your business and making it everything it can be to give the customer the best experience. By following the outline, you can put your heart and mind in the right place. Once you have your mind set to the right orientation, you can lead your team with a sense of unity and perform to levels that you never thought possible. The BUILD system is an acronym with the first step being build relationships. Everything goes back to that to make the most of your company. Peitzman has lived an interesting and storied life and he peppers his principles with anecdotes from his extensive business and life history. There are inspirational quotes woven into the stories as well as actionable suggestions as to how to apply the principles. I liked how he also included what he called “emotional contractions” or possible challenges that a person could have to applying the principles. I would recommend this book to anybody trying to lead in business or any other type of organization.

John Peitzmen or J.P has refers himself in the audio. He is the Obi Wan coach guided the reader in the process of identifying self help navigating tool. J.P brings personal experience in each acronym of B. U. I L. D. The author is the leader to guide the reader to higher ground. His professional experience in high performance entrepreneur coach environment in addition to his martial arts background; he is indeed the modern day Obi Wan. J.P asks the reader to reflect on simple yet eloquent questions in each chapter. Feeling. Intuition.The voice of the author made me feel guided and visualize myself seeing him coach me in a conference setting. The author provides his own personal success and failures both personal(4th marriage) and professional ( Target security to IT 9/11)The audiobook provides techniques for change. The change is interpersonal that will result in outworldly implementation. Self reflection questions to build the framework to personal evolution AND a better team. The team could be workplace employees or your leadership and inspirational as a parent or family member unit.Building from the heart. J.P. takes the metrics of a business of life and asks the reader to simplify. Build the relationship. Each of the letters in the acronym of B.U. I L. D are connecting and weave together. J.P provides exercises to assist the reader apply the lesson of the section of B.U.I. L D. The ABC’s of leadership. “ You can’t opt out of influence.”The book is relevant and relatable. I absorbed the information provided will be reflected and broken down to a plan and implemented. J.P offers a support from his book via website linked with the book. The website is an extension tool from the book with worksheets and group connection from others who are using the B.U. I L. D format. I recommend this book. J. P provides relevant and highly applicable in today's high demand and exterior but often fasade influence status that can leave us feeling alone. This book empowers you to reflect and embrace your feelings.

Peitzman's BUILD framework was a great easy read. I love that this book has many more applications in life than you would think. The book speaks on things we all know we need to do, but don’t always have the motivation to accomplish and makes you want to finally get around to doing them. You can start building relationships and implementing change and growth with ease by following the points in BUILD Framework. I would recommend this book to anyone who is searching for change in the way they live, work, or interact with others.

Amazing book with amazing and helpful content. Thanks author did an amazing work by writing about a guide to people's personal and professional problems. It is definitely a book I will recommend to anyone.

Reading this book as a self help book, I found that it wasn’t exactly what I expected. However, when you read as a professionals guide, there is much more to gain. The BUILD framework addresses so many obstacles that face businesses today, whether it’s a small business or you’re just part of management or the likes. As someone who has worked in dysfunctional business environments, I really could identify with this book and the frustrations that it aims to solve. It is a good representation of how personnel relations are critical to a business and how important it is to have all members of a team “rowing the boat in the Same direction”. Would definitely recommend for business professionals who need insight on accomplishing goals and organizing their team mindset.
